NunaPaper nasce fin da subito con lo scopo di fornire a creativi di ogni tipo (fotografi, artisti, illustratori, designers, ecc.) strumenti di carta in grado di rispondere ad esigenze particolari che i prodotti industriali non sono in grado di soddisfare. Spesso chi è alla ricerca di materiali di supporto cartacei non trova ciò di cui ha bisogno perché gli standard sono limitati per definizione e le possibilità di scelta stringenti al punto tale che ci si adatta a ciò che si trova, alle volte risparmiando (ma non sempre), ma senza raggiungere il risultato sperato.
